nonstop_thumbSwedish company NonStop Sales has picked up international sales rights for David’s Birthday, the second feature by Italian director and actor Marco Filiberti.

Filiberti also wrote the script for "David’s Birthday", a psychological drama about a couple whose relationship is shaken by the arrival of their friend’s good looking son, whilst holidaying in Italy. The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year, stars Brazilian model and newcomer Thyago Alves alongside Alessandro Gassman, Maria De Medeiros, Massimo Poggio and Michela Cescon.

Caroline Locardi and Agnes Trincal are producing for Zen Zero films.
The film will screen in the European Film Market at the upcoming Berlin Film Festival.

NonStop’s sales manager Michael Werner said: “We are very pleased to bring our first Italian film to our selection of films and we feel that David’s Birthday will have the qualities to travel the world.”

Filiberti made his feature debut in 2003 with drama  "Adored", which he also starred in.
